All these subjects are studied at Gimnazija Vič for a minimum of one school year but students can choose to further their knowledge in a particular area by selecting that subject for additional classes. As a result of the school system in Slovenia, our students have classes in most of these subjects for at least three years.
All our students work towards the Matura examination. This is the national exam for gimnazija-level students and is essential for entry to university. These exams are taken in at least five subjects:
- Slovene
- Mathematics
- A foreign language (At Gimnazija Vič this option is almost entirely English)
- A minimum of two other subjects chosen by the student
