Exam results 2022/23

Before the long summer break begins, all four year groups at Gimnazija Vič have different exams and tests to take as a way of showing their progress across the different subjects studied.

While our first three years focus on class tests, those in their final year at the school take their Matura exams, which are the state examinations for this educational level in Slovenia. Gaining good results here allows students to progress to their choice of university course and provides a solid foundation for their future education.

Several weeks after the last Matura exam, students in the 4th Year are welcomed back to the school to receive their exam certificates and to take the chance to thank their teachers for their invaluable help over the years.

As well as the general Matura certificates, some special awards were given to those students who really excelled in their marks and grades.

The Gold Matura Prize is awarded to those students with the best grades right across the country. We were thrilled to learn that 53 Gimnazija Vič students were given this accolade from the 336 prizes awarded in Slovenia.

The Diamond Matura Prize is the special award given to those students who achieve top marks in their exams across all of their subjects. Huge congratulations must go to our students who received this honour. Out of the 26 such prizes awarded across all of Slovenia, 6 went to students of our school.

Those who receive this most prestigious award were invited to a special event attended by the President of Slovenia and other dignitaries.

We would like to congratulate all our students on their excellent results and wish those who are leaving us well as they continue on their academic journey.
