School visit – Croatia 2026

Towards the end of January, we were delighted to welcome a small delegation from Prva privatna gimnazija Varaždin, Croatia.

These teachers came to visit Gimnazija Vic as the opening stage of building cooperation between our schools for both academic exchanges and Erasmus+ projects.

During their time with us, they were able to meet up with several of our teachers and project mentors, as well as hearing a few presentations about the different types of national and international cooperation activities that go on at our school.

One of the highlights was a round table discussion with some students from our school's promotions group. For about an hour, they heard about what life is like as a student at Gimnazija Vic which led to some lively and informative exchanges regarding the differences in the school systems in Croatia and Slovenia. From pastoral support schemes for students to lunch and snack preferences, many different aspects of our daily school routines were covered.

With part of this discussion being focused on extracurricular activities, it was appropriate that the visitors were given some mementos of their time with us which included both creative writing and artistic works by our students.

We were very happy to have these guests come to find out more about our school and we very much look forward to seeing what the time ahead brings regarding our future cooperation.
