Erasmus+ exchange – Czechia 2026
During the last week of February, a group of 2nd Year students from Gimnazija Vič travelled to Czechia as part of the Zgodbarjenje (Storytelling) project of the Erasmus+ programme. This project has a focus on storytelling and how short stories can be adapted into other art forms. With our mentors, we went to the town of Písek to meet up with our hosts from our new partner school, Gymnázium Písek.
The team there had prepared a really interesting set of activities for us. As well as finding out more about their school, our hosts gave us a tour of their town. There was plenty of time for us to work on our projects and to present what we had been working on within our own smaller groups. Then it was time for us to present our work publicly in the town’s library so we got to show how we turned the short stories into things like newspapers, comic books, and video clips.
When our time in Písek was over, we travelled to Prague where we were welcomed by another group of local teachers and students. They were our guides to the city where we saw many interesting things including Prague Castle and the Franz Kafka Museum.
We are very grateful to everyone in Czechia who planned their part of the exchange so well and for showing us such hospitality. We really look forward to welcoming them to Slovenia later in the year.
