New school year 2026/27
On 1st September, we joined other schools across Slovenia in marking the start of the new school year. While teachers and other school staff had been busy for weeks beforehand, this day was the official beginning and the chance for our students to return to their classrooms.
For our older students, the day began with a chance for them to catch up with classmates and find out more about the structure of their timetable for the semester ahead. With different subject options available for the classes and some new faces across our teaching departments, it was useful for everyone to get the opportunity to begin the year with a solid start.
Our first-year students joined us from primary schools all around the Ljubljana area and even further afield. As there is a good chance of not knowing anyone in their new class groups, it is always important within our school community to make sure that they feel welcomed and are able to lay the foundations for some new friendships very quickly.
A key part of this is the set of “Getting to know each other” camps organised by our teachers and student counsellors. By going off into the Slovenian countryside for a few days, students are encouraged to build some good connections with their new peers.
We would like to thank all those who worked hard to arrange the different sporting challenges, puzzles and games, discussions, and all the other activities that helped make this time away so special for our latest generation.
With everyone now settled into the school routine, we would like to wish all our students the very best in the year ahead.
