Blood drive 2023
On 8th March, a blood donation campaign was organised for the students of Gimnazija Vič who were old enough to take part.
About 50 students attended and went to The Blood Transfusion Centre of Slovenia. Blood donors are an important part of the healthcare system. A long-standing tradition and a well-built blood donation system make Slovenia self-sufficient with respect to blood supply.
After donating our blood, we received a hearty lunch, a certificate, and a wristband to thank us. All of this, along with the knowledge that we were part of such an important system, will certainly encourage us to donate blood again in the future.
