Exam results 2023/24

As always, before the long summer break can be enjoyed, all students had to sit a range of school and national exams to show their progress in all the classes they take at Gimnazija Vič.

The first three year groups had their focus clearly on the exams set within our school and those in their final year had the chance to demonstrate their knowledge in their Matura exams. These are the state exams for teenagers in Slovenia who have decided to follow the academic path. Doing well in these exams allows students to go on to their university course of choice and acts as a solid foundation for whatever they choose to do next on their education journey.

These students were invited back to school in the middle of July to officially receive their exam certificates. This occasion also allows them to catch up with their friends before their summer holidays and to thank their subject and class teachers for all the help given over their four years at our school.

Special commendations were given to those students who had academic achievements of note in this set of exams. 32 students were given Gold Matura Prize awards which are given annually to those who get the best grades right across Slovenia. In addition, 2 students received the prestigious Diamond Matura Prize, meaning they were among the small group in the country who got top marks in all their exams.

We would like to congratulate all our students on their excellent results and wish those who are leaving us well as they go on to study at universities and colleges in Slovenia and beyond.
